INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR FILING PATENT APPLICATION IN RUSSIA

• Full name and address of applicant(s)
• Full name and address of inventor(s)
• Description, claims, drawings, abstract and other materials
• Copy of the first application (for a convention priority, if necessary)

Note:

• power of attorney is not required in a simple case
• procedure lasts within 12-18 months for invention in a simple case
• procedure lasts within 10-12 months for utility model in a simple case
• invention patent shall be valid for 25 years from the filing date
• utility patent shall be valid for 10 years from the filing date

OTHER INFORMATION

• An application for grant of a patent shall relate to one invention (utility model) only or to a group of inventions (utility models) so interrelated as to form an integral inventive concept
• Applicant shall have the right to correct or amend filed materials without introducing new matter to the invention (utility model)
• An applicant shall be entitled, prior to publication of information on the application for invention, to convert it into an application for utility model
• Double multiple dependence of claims are impermissible and must be corrected
